Well here's a bandsaw I broke down and ordered to ease a little of the suffering, I may finally be able to retire the angle grinder. And I also place a knife block order with Mel at wood dynamics.net and he couldn't find the block I ordered so he sent 4 blocks for free a total of $130 in free grade A cuts. :)

I think the buckeye burl on the right will be reserved for my viking knife ;)

So you get a new band saw and some free handle blocks? Now you're just showing off!:D

I agree with your wood choice, it will make anything it's attached to look good.

Thanks Myth the bandsaw was only $500 shipping included from California or something which is by far cheaper than anything else I've come across with a work table. If anyone's interested in one by chance I can post a link to it. I of course did my research on the blades and its not an odd ball size they are readily available at princess auto and elsewhere.

That's a pretty smoking deal Icho! Is that what you have or does it have a table for vertical?

Ya that's the one I have. It is identical to the one you got just different color. Do a search and you will find all kinds of mods that people do to then from clamps to hydraulics.

That is a whackin' big table. Looks like it needs to come off to flop it down to cut off. That's be a bit of a PITA but maybe it's fairly QD. Either way you'll be way happier using a bandsaw rather than the grinder.
