This year somehow marked 2 years since I made my last knife. I made 3 other knives before touching this Damasteel billet to knock the rust off haha! Materials: Knife steel: Damasteel DS93X Vinland Handle: Bog Oak Fat Carbon Gold as the centre scale dragon head and front spacer. Makers Mark: Dragon’s eye GHK mosaic pins Dimensions: OAL: 285.75 mm (11.25”) Cutting Edge: 127 mm (5”) Weight: 120 grams Thanks for looking! Cheers, Griff
Now THATS a knife! Love the look of the damasteel. I think that pattern would be too busy on something less elaborate, but here, it works. How comfortable is that handle? The geometry looks like it might be difficult to hold, but it might just fit nicely into the hand.
Thank you @Mythtaken ! Cheers Had the question of the handle from a few people, so made a video on it. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzeYQGyOxk-/
Interesting. We always think of round being better in the hand, but in practice, those angles will offer a better grip with less slip. Also, nice to see the blade in context. Sometimes it's difficult to get a good sense of the scale in photos.
