I just got home from the show and I had a great time! It was awesome meeting some of you guys from this forum. It was also nice to see some of the other makers again and I got to meet a lot of the others. Friday night's gathering was fun and relaxing after driving and being stuck in traffic for about 5 hours. Saturday morning I got to tmy table early to set up and was ready with plenty of time to sit and chill before people came thru the door. At the end of the show on Saturday my wife and I went for dinner with Steve Vanderkollf and Mike Mossington at the Keg. It has been their tradition for years and we had a great time. Thanks for having us Steve and Mike. Sunday was quieter but as planned James Emmons did his test for master smith at noon and passed with flying colors. Congrats James! Thanks to all the organizers for a great weekend. I have some pictures but Robert Laufer goes to all of the Guild shows and does such an amazing review that I figured I'd just post a link. Thanks Robert for doing such a detailed review.

Thanks for sharing the link. The knives look amazing and it's great to see a lot of international participants alongside the Canucks.

I see you went with the wooden stand for your dagger. Looks great!

Man you are so lucky! Only 5 hours in traffic. That beats a 36 hour drive for me just to get to the traffic jam. :)
I guess some of us will always be geographically challenged. One year I will make it there.

Yes, this was pretty cool. I have never been to the knife show before and it was very interesting for me. Some amazing work, great knives. Meeting new people - all was great.

And Ilia's dagger - it looks much better in real life than on photos. :)

Good getting to chat for a while there Icho. Hopefully we can talk a bit more at the next show. And thanks again for the ABS test info. It was great getting to watch something you never usually get to see first hand.
