I had a customer that wanted me to make a 12" blade chopper and a hunting knife combo that he could carry separately if need be. After hitting my head against the wall for the 100 time I came up with this and it works pretty good. he was very happy camper
the D ring on the small knife acts as a finger handle to remove and can be carried on a carabineer if wanted

If you use the right sized eyelet you can bolt through them with Chicago screws

There is an old saying...... This problem when solved will be simple, and it looks like you NAILED IT.

nice sheath. You know, it's funny... whenever i look at other people's work it inspires me and energizes me (somewhat : ) but it also makes me realize just how much a person needs to learn in this craft(i almost said hobby - but it's not a hobby for many). I've been at this for almost 3 years and I'm still trying to perfect my plunge lines!! I can make a knife and and a handle... i have made many kydex sheaths (simple ones) and have even made my own forge and burners. I've taught myself to weld (if you can call what i do welding), built a grinder and a lot of specialty hand and power tools for shaping and sharpening metal. When I look at the work on this site, I love it but it also makes me realize I'm still just starting out. I don't mean for this to sound defeatist.. quite the opposite. I love that I found something where i need to develop so many new skills, learn some science, build some tools and in the end, i get something useful to use. Very cool indeed.

Sorry guys, that's waaay off topic. Just struck me...

Did some poking around and found the US manufacturer supplier for clips, snaps and eyelets. Manufacturer sample orders are 5000 each for eyelets but they will sell to me :) , saves 1 cent per eyelet.

Bought more than I can use, got click happy :roflmao
